A Study In Pink Information Edit
A Study In Pink was the first aired episode of BBC’s Sherlock it aired on the 25th July 2010. Even though this was the first episode to be released there was an unaired episode one that was cut due to the producer wanting the episodes to go for 90 minutes instead of the original 60 mins.
The episode centre’s around a serious of mysterious suicides that have struck the English capital. There is no apparent factor that links the victims apart from the manner in that they died. Detective Inspector Lestrade is left baffled and out of options. Meanwhile Dr John Watson has recently returned from a deployment to Afghanistan and is suffering from extreme nightmares along with finding his existence meaningless with no apparent direction. Both of these men’s problem are solved by the introduction of Sherlock Holmes. Drawn in by the intrigue of the battlefield John joins Sherlock in the hunt for a mysterious serial killer.
The episode was a huge success and was the catalyst for thecontinuation of the series to the present day.
